Summer Camps
June 14 - July 16
Answer: "Mom, I'm bored." Question: "What is something you will NOT hear if you send your child to summer camp?" Based on John 14:6 and the theme "Explore the Way," our staff is currently working very hard on planning and staffing summer camps. Your child will NOT want to miss out on all the fun! Each camp is designed specifically for the age groups of the children attending, with just enough fun thrown in so that they will not want to leave! You can rest assured that our camps are planned with your child in mind, and we plan activities to safely engage them physically, mentally and spiritually. More information is available on our parent page. Click here for a more detailed description of each camp and also for a printable registration page. Click here to view camp rates. Any questions, please contact Johanna Bontrager, program director.
Wilderness Week
July 19 - July 23 (9th - 12th graders only)
Wilderness week is a different sort of camp experience. Trade cabins for tents and a kitchen for a campfire; but don't trade this kind of an experience for anything! In addition to learning outdoor living skills, your camper will develop a chance to participate in activities that will build character, teach teamwork, and provide unique spiritual experiences. Because of the small group (space IS limited) we are able to provide special opportunities such as canoeing, tubing down Crooked Creek and other activities best experienced by a smaller group. Family Camp
July 30 - August 1
We've all heard the term "staycation" lately and what better place to STAY for a vaCATION than here at camp? This weekend is really a no-brainer: the meals, activities and personnel are all provided for you. The only thing YOU need to do is register! What a great way to provide family time without any hassles or distractions. You are able to take part in camp-led activities and will also have opportunity to choose some of your own. We are delighted that Rueben Chupp, former pastor at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland, will be leading the chapel time. He'll be exploring our summer camp theme of "Explore the Way". Click here to see a sample of what previous Family Camp attendees have enjoyed. Click here to view camp rates. Your know your kids love to come to camp; you might even envy them...just a little bit--now's YOUR chance to see what all the fuss is about! Put this weekend on your family schedule and register now for a weekend to remember! Any questions or for further information, please contact Johanna Bontrager, program director.
Grandfolks-Littlefolks Day
August 6
This is a great way for your youngsters to give camp a try with the safety of Grandma or Grandpa just a few feet away! Just like an overnight camp, they'll have chapel, sing songs, play games, have a nature activity and go swimming. All of this day's activities are just the right pace for your little camper! Register by June 17 and you can pre-order your t-shirts for only $6! Click here to register. Any questions, please contact Johanna Bontrager, program director.
Day Canoe Trip
August 28
A lazy, winding river, a canoe, lunch on a sand bar and good company--what a great way to celebrate the end of summer! Join us as we lead you down the Skunk River. We'll provide the canoes, the lunch, the life jackets--you bring yourself and a canoe buddy, sun screen, a water bottle and maybe some bug spray! Plan to meet at camp at 9 a.m. and we'll take it from there. If you don't have a full day to commit to recreation, there is even a half-day option. Register early as space is limited; registration fee of $13 per person includes lunch and snacks. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult; watch for more information coming early August. Click here to register. Any questions, please contact Johanna Bontrager, program director.
Sing & S'mores
September 12
Join us for an evening of fun for all ages! Starting at 6 p.m., we'll raise our voices together in an outdoor hymn sing, sprinkled with some of the favorite camp songs. Following singing, we'll gather around the campfire for a s'mores smorgasbord (this was a big hit last year!) and stories around the campfire. Free will donations will be accepted; pre-registration is not required. Any questions, please contact Johanna Bontrager, program director.
More information will be added as it becomes available. Programs and dates may be subject to change.
Please contact Camp office with any questions.
