Winter Activities

Bullet Tubing on the Bluffs

Talk about your adrenaline rush!  The bluffs at camp are perfect for a screaming ride on an inner tube, providing there is enough snow.  We provide the inner tubes AND a short lesson on safety; then off you go.  Hang on!

Oops, didn't we mention the walk back UP the hill?!  Totally worth it!

The tubing hill is conveniently located near Custer Picnic Shelter; feel free to build a fire in the outdoor fireplace and bring your own hot chocolate to warm your insides while you have fun on the hill!

Bullet Ice Skating

Two ponds are available for skating; the smaller 'frog pond' which is also great for broom ball and our larger pond near camp entrance.  We do have several pair of skates available at the office for your use; just ask your camp host when you arrive.  Your host will also be able to tell you if conditions are safe for skating.

Bullet Ice Fishing

If you're hardy enough to b-b-b-b-b-rave the elements, give us a call and ask about conditions for ice fishing at the pond near camp entrance.  We even have an ice auger for you to use; bring all your own fishing equipment.

What else needs to be said here?  Most of us know how to relax; and we have cozy fireplaces and comfy chairs  in each of our buildings to aid in the process.  There are several publications and even some books in the bookcase for your reading pleasure.

Bullet Animal Tracking in the Snow

There are many species of animals that call camp 'home'.  How many species can you name from their tracks?  Wild turkeys, rabbits, raccoon, deer...maybe you'll even see the bobcat that occasionally passes through!
